A mechanical seal normally consists of two components: a rotating unit and a stationary ring. In most cases, an O-ring is also used for sealing. Our spare parts pack contains everything you need to replace a faulty mechanical seal.

Hints:

This pump type is equipped with either a soft packing/stuffing box packing or a mechanical seal. The mechanical seal is more sophisticated from a technical point of view and has several advantages. However, as it is slightly more expensive, it is used less frequently. If you are not sure what is installed in your pump, we will be happy to help you.

Depending on the field of application of your pump, different types of mechanical seals can be installed. In most cases, this is type “MG1”, more rarely “M7N” or a “double-acting mechanical seal”. Of course, the same applies here: ask us if you are not sure!
