Another type of pump, the screw pumps, are used in particular as loading pumps on inland waterway vessels and medium-sized tankers. They ensure that the ships are loaded and unloaded in the shortest possible time at all times and that residual emptying (stripping) is also always guaranteed.

In addition, they are successfully used in the engine room as the main lubricating oil and ballast pump.
